Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Crystal Falls Fruit Juice, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, sponsored fruit juice for the annual Financial Insight & Guidance (FIG) Breast Cancer fundraiser luncheon on the 20th of October 2009.

Venue: Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town

There were over 200 attendees, who each received a goodie bag containing various samples and promotional items. The ladies were welcomed to the event with Crystal Falls Cranberry and Blueberry fruit juice - a healthy way to quench the thirst on a hot summer's day!


The luncheon raised funds towards the donation that was given to the Breast Clinic at Groote Schuur Hospital, in aid of breast cancer in the Western Cape.

Heart Awareness Talks

Crystal Falls, in support of Heart Awareness Month 2009, attended the Louis Leipoldt Medi-Clinic monthly meeting with their Seniors. This month's meeting focussed on heart health.

Heart disease is a major concern in South Africa, as heart attacks and strokes take a large amount of lives on a daily basis. High blood pressure, high blood cholesterol and diabetes are the most common factors that add to the risk of heart disease. The Heart and Stroke Foundation emphasises the necessity of checking your blood pressure and cholesterol levels regularly, as there is no visible signs when these levels are raised.

Crystal Falls 100% Fruit Juice was involved with the renowned South African Cheese Festival 2009. This SA Cheese Festival has received numerous awards in the past, like the coveted EXSA 2007 award for the most sought after culinary event of the year. Within it's eighth year running, the SA Cheese Festival has seen over 165 000 visitors: all embarking on a taste adventure for new and innovative cheeses, with the hopes of discovering new worlds of cheese to take home with them.

The 2009 edition of The SA Cheese Festival took place over the long weekend, from the 24th to the 27th of April 2009 at the Bien Donné Estate. It's a good thing that this event was held over a long weekend: most patrons will agree that lots of time was needed to venture around the many stalls and exhibits that the Cheese Festival had to offer.

The lingering Taste of Cape Town

The Taste of Cape Town 2009, held at the Jan van Riebeeck Sport Fields just off Kloof Nek in Cape Town, turned out to be a great success for Crystal Falls Fruit Juice.

The 2nd to the 5th of April 2009, saw the aficionados of the food industry gather in Cape Town for one reason and one reason only: to get a taste of what Cape Town has to offer.

The Taste of Cape Town offered patrons the ultimate gourmet eating and drinking experience. Crystal Falls Fruit Juice will be participating in the Taste of Cape Town Festival, from Thursday the 2nd, to Sunday the 5th of April 2009.

Taste of Cape Town is a remarkable festival that caters for food lovers everywhere, celebrating the best food and drink the Mother City has to offer! Cape Town's most acclaimed restaurants will be presented at this year's festival, while five of these restaurants are featured in the Eat Out Awards List of Top Ten Restaurants in South Africa. If this is not enough to tickle your taste buds, a selected group of exhibitors will be strutting their stuff at the Taste of Cape Town stalls. Enter Crystal Falls Fruit Juice. The Crystal Falls stall will be juicing things up, showing off the health intrinsics of Crystal Falls' functional juice products to about 20 000 of Cape Town's most dedicated and sophisticated food fundies.

Crystal Falls shower The Women's Show 2009 with healthy intrinsics

The fifth edition of The Women's Show proved to be a great success, as it indulged in the fun, yet sophisticated, nature of women. The women that attended the 2009 edition of The Women's Show, were treated to informative exhibits, discussions and demonstrations, as well as eventful programmes of entertainment, including live acts, make-overs and a fashion show - the 20th to the 22nd February was an extravagant weekend!

Among the many presentations, Sindiwe Magona's auditory journey was not to be missed! Her story truly personified the Women's Show, an extravagant woman with an extravagant history - she shared her story, filled with hardship, hope and the will to overcome. This community activist had to struggle as a single mother of three, working domestic servant jobs, attaining her matric by correspondence and finally graduating with a BA degree from the University of South Africa, and later a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Social Work from Columbia University. In 1976, Magona was invited to join the International Tribunal on Crimes against Woman in Brussels.

All the ladies who attended the sitting, will agree of how inspirational it was.

Crystal Falls Fruit Juice displayed their natural juices at the exhibition and informed the curious patrons about the health intrinsics that make their unique juice so functional. For the Women by the Women

Since 2005, The Women's Show has been the only exhibition and lifestyle event in South Africa, dedicated entirely to women.
